The Lore-Accurate Size of Anvil | Oblivion in UNREAL ENGINE 5! [4K]

Part of an ongoing project to visualise a more realistic and lore-accurate scale to Tamriel – so here’s Anvil – now with sixteen times the detail!

And so we move on to the cities from Oblivion! Anvil on the Golden Coast definitely had a strong Mediterranean vibe to it both with the architecture and the landscape – so this is basically just turning that up to eleven, while still keeping the main layout and feel of the city. This was also thematically a bit closer to the Oblivion remaster version of the city, at least with the colour palette.

All the shots were also taken during golden hour (sunrise/sunset) which is much warmer than I usually go – but kind of works well for the type of vibe Anvil has...

Rendered out in Unreal Engine 5.6 on an RTX 3090. Using a mix of third-party models and custom assets modelled and textured in Blender. Nanite was used for all models and foliage; Lumen for global illumination and reflections. DLAA was used for all anti-aliasing.
